Queering materiality and language, Pablo Vindel reimagines presence, absence, and belonging—crafting spaces of and for transformation.
La puesta (head-laying) explores intertwined themes of grief, transformation, and self-proliferation. The installation features three egg-shaped glass forms, crafted from handblown sandblasted and clear glass, with visible and occasionally double pontil traces. These forms are paired with vibrant red-dyed Kidassia fur (a type of goatskin), known for its long, human-like fibers, symbolizing warmth, intimacy, and rebirth.
